Boys 12U and 14U Player Evaluations:
Hello u12 and u14 Phantom Lacrosse Parents and Players,

Phantom Lacrosse is on the rise again in Livermore! Specifically, our strong recruiting outreach over the summer has led to a solid turnout of new players for the Fall Clinics. In addition, we are doing really well getting kids signed-up/registered early for the Spring Season. We are all really excited for the 2020 Phantom Lacrosse Season and fun to begin!

Foundational goals for Phantom Lacrosse are to teach kids the game of lacrosse, to build cohesive teams where life lessons like "teamwork" are taught, and to make sure the kids are placed in an environment where they can grow as players/teammates all while having fun and being safe. Similarly, Northern California Junior Lacrosse (NCJLA) strongly recommends that clubs hold evaluations to foster development by placing players on teams based on their age, experience and ability and where individual skills rather than just years playing lacrosse are highly considered. For the Spring 2020 Season our plan is to field two teams for both the u12 and u14 Boys age groups and we will be hosting the skills-based portion of our player evaluation to help guide us in determining how best to develop your player. Skills evaluated will include throwing, catching, shooting, dodging, scooping on the first night and small-sided scrimmages on the second night. Here are the details of these evaluations for your calendars:

u12 and u14 Player Evaluations:
When: December 3rd (Tue) and December 5th (Th)
Time: 6:00PM-7:30PM
Where: Cayetano Park, Livermore

Who: u12 and u14 Boys including those signed-up and on the waiting list.

EVALUATION CHECK-IN:  A check-in table will be open 30 minutes prior to the start of each session (5:30PM). We need to check in a large number of players, so please do not wait until the last minute to check-in. Evaluations will start promptly so please allow enough time for traffic, check-in, and for your player to get fully dressed and ready to go once we start. Evaluations will be held rain or shine.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS: The following equipment are mandatory (read: kids cannot participate if they are missing equipment). Lacrosse Helmet, Shoulder and Elbow Pads, Gloves, Stick, Mouth Guard (not white or clear), Cup and Cleats or Running Shoes. Please make sure they also bring plenty of water to drink.

Lastly, we are still in the recruiting mode and the plan for two teams is contingent upon us signing-up an additional ~6 more players for both the u12 and u14 age groups. We certainly welcome your referrals to ensure we have the necessary number of players for full squads.
